Ron King built and rendered this 3D model of “Whileaway”, the yacht aboard which the First Yale Unit spent many summer nights in 1916 – sailing over the Long Island Sound. The ship was loaned to the group by Payne Whitney, who was a supporter of these early aviators who went on the form the first aerial squadron of the U.S. Navy Reserve.
