Visitor filmmakers were excited to have a screening for cast and crew at Sony Pictures Studios on July 22nd, 2019. Writer/Director Ron King worked for a week with staff in the technology department to prepare a special edit of the film utilizing the capabilities of the high-end HDR screen at the studio. EVP/Chief Technology Officer at Sony, Don Eklund, welcomed the cast, crew and friends to the special screening and joined some of the crew for a celebratory feast following the event.
Also on July 28th RMK Films held a screening for the Mindful Warrior Project to get feedback from veterans on the story of Leon Archer (the film’s main character), a veteran of the war in Afghanistan suffering from late onset PTSD and survivor’s guilt. This organization had opened their doors and provided insight to the filmmakers in the months of development leading up to the shoot in January 2019.
